--- What makes GoSkyWatch different to other apps?

• Easy to use — No buttons to press or modes to select, just point to the sky to start exploring.

• Designed specially for efficient outdoor use.

• Touch free identification — Information pops up on screen as you move. Great for those cold nights with gloves on!

• Popup images — No need to keep zooming in and out just to see what is out there.

• Full 180 degree display — See at a glance what is in the sky and where without having to pan around.

• Dont need to hold level — Displays the sky view and information at the correct orientation when held at any angle not just landscape or portrait.

• Gyroscope compass auto calibration — No need to calibrate the gyroscope. Advanced adaptive algorithms for smooth and accurate positioning.

• Planets shown with relative brightness to stars — No oversized graphics that prevent you from distinguishing a planet from surrounding stars.

• Unique target identification — Touch drag scheme for greatest accuracy since your finger doesnt hide what you are trying to identify.

• Minimal on screen text — Stars and planets easier to identify since they are not covered by text.

Pros and cons of GoSkyWatch Planetarium app for iPhone and iPad

GoSkyWatch Planetarium app good for

So easy to use and identify as much or as little as you want. Fun for my grandchildren to watch the planets and for me looking into deeper space. Excellent
But I am missing showing the time (current or planned) together when seeing info from a Star. I need that for sextant practice. So please include elevation, zn and time in the same screen tks!
working with it for years, everything works very fine. very flexible and fine for beginners as well as for professionals.
this app is truly the best buy I ever made! Born in the Apollo age this is the dream of space in my hands:) I may not have my jet pack but I have dream app
This is a great app if you want to out what star your pointing too or just want to look around at the stars!
I use this app all the time for general stargazing. At the cottage on trips. The interface is easy to master and the celestial object tools are fantastic for quickly finding what you want or identifying what youve found. A must have app.

Some bad moments

Now why not trying to use built-in iphone 3GS compass to locate north??would be a great add-on!!
I have this on an iPad and iPhone. They dont agree. I know where south is and it tells me it is northeast. Used to be very accurate. Not sure what has happened. It asks to calibrate and still is inaccurate and neither apparatus agrees.
